The vision for the new Adelaide office was to create a sustainable, inclusive, and engaging environment that is adaptable to the evolving needs of the business, while also reflecting ANZ’s core values and purpose. This workplace aims to be a place where both staff and customers feel welcome and inspired.
Working alongside the client's representatives and Architects (Woods Bagot) we translated ANZ's retail kit-of-parts into a corporate office space designed for the future.
XFrame's on site delivery speed and value-add circular design support allowed this project, run over six weeks, to be delivered on-time. 240 wall panels were installed across four days by a team of six trades people. Prefabricated Tasmanian Oak Veneer and Autex Cube linings were clipped to the wall frames in XFrame's first large-scale deployment of the XF010 demountable lining clip, and DBSORB's ReadyClip system.
Unlike conventional 'room-in-room' demountable spaces - the XFrame system used at 83 Pirie Street unlocked efficiency, design versatility, and a sense of permanence - all while making possible end-of-life recovery. Spaces were nested together using the tartan grid planning scheme - sharing walls and intersecting services - resulting in highly efficient material utilisation and much improved assembly times.
XFrame was used to create all spaces outside of the core - including kitchens, multi-faith spaces, parents' rooms, and reconfigurable board rooms. In addition, sections of straight XFrame walls were deployed across the floor plan, disconnected from the room clusters, creating semi-private break-out and collaboration spaces.
